WP eBay Ads – WordPress Plugin

WP eBay Ads – allows you to easily insert eBay product listings into your WordPress posts, and earn commission from sales. See the demo at the bottom of this page.

Insert a listing of related eBay products, on the single post page by using a custom field called ebay_search and either the shortcode directly in your post or by inserting a code snippet in your template file. The listings are completely customizable according to parameters defined in the admin panel. If you include an eBay Partner Network campaign ID, you can even earn commission! Also allows you to share revenue with your authors on a multi-author blog. Whoever wrote the post gets credit in the listings.

A few of the features:

  • Specify the search with a custom field in the post called ebay_search
  • Can call listings with a shortcode or in your template file or both!
  • Allows you to use the eBay Partner Network
  • Can share revenue with the author of the post if you desire
  • Uses advanced search parameters
  • Display is easily customizable
  • Hides the affiliate link to ebay

Installation instructions:

Download Now

WP eBay Ads is installed like any other WordPress plugin.

1) Download the latest version by clicking the button to the right.

2) Upload the whole directory into your wordpress plugins directory (usually, yoursite/wp-content/plugins). The plugin must reside in a sub-folder called “wp-ebay-ads” (lower-case!) as supplied in the zip file, else it WON’T WORK

3) Go into the WordPress admin panel, find Plugins and WP eBay Ads should be listed. Click Activate to activate!

nice plugin…i really appreciate…how can i add this in sidebar?

  2. Currently there is no way to put it in the side bar. I look to add that feature in the next update. Thanks!

  3. cool plugin, didn’t know it existed. Of anybody wants some good tips for selling on ebay go to my blog:)
    thanks

  4. I don’t think it works.
I tried to add a custom field to the post like the example (copy and paste) and it didn’t make any difference. The plug-in needs better installation instructions because the instuctions in readme file is confusing.

  5. VK, did you follow the instructions on the following page?

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-ebay-ads/installation/

  6. I must be missing something as well.

I’ve installed the plugin and it shows in the settings in the dashboard. I can also go to users and see the ebay campaign ID space (Left blank as I don’t have one, so it seems to have installed correctly.

I’ve added [wpebayads] to both a page and a post to test and I simply get a blank page.

I’m using WP 2.9.2 and an Artisteer designed layout. I have disabled all plug-ins, returned to the default theme but still have not had any luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers, Scott.

  7. Scott,
Have you setup the custom field on the post page? You must enter a custom field called ebay_search and then set the value to what you want the ads to show.

    thanks

  8. Hi JW.

    Yes I have a custom field. I have the following info;

Main Page body I have “[wpebayads]”
Custom field “ebay_search” and field “painting supplies”

    Any further suggestions?

    Thanks, Scott.

  9. Does not work in WP 3.0

  10. Scott,
Are you using it on a page or a post? I never tested it on a page so that may be the problem.

    Thanks…

  11. Bert,
The current version of WP is 2.9.2

  12. I just tried it in a Post instead of a page and it works so it appears you cannot create a page to display the products. This is a shame. Perhaps you could incorporate it into any future version as i’m sure it would be a great addition.

  13. That’s a very good idea.

And it’s pretty easy to install.

That would be great if we were able to put it in a side bar. Please consider it for further releases.

But any way, thank’s for sharing such great plugin.

  14. I am just getting into wordpress and how to use plugins etc. I have not as yet tried Ebay on my sites but would like to do so at some point. This plugin looks really good.

Please make this work with pages as Scott said. :)
