Scentsy is toxic cuz they use a petroleum based wax. Plus synthetic and natural fragrances. My nose plugs so bad when I use warmers. In all fairness though, I've tried soy melts that are more natural and I still get the same reaction. I've thought about making my own with pure ingredients and see what happens. In the soy melts I'm not sure what type of fragrance was used.

Stephanie, There are a couple of things that might be happening. If your warmer is in a cold or drafty area of your house, the wax will not melt very well. Same if you are using more than one square. I usually only use one square in plug-ins and two or three in the mid- or full-size warmers.
If you're still having issues, I would suggest talking to your consultant. Another good resource for helpful hints is the Scentsy Blog at www.scentsyblog.com. Good luck!!

I have bought several Scentsy plug-ins, and 2 of them are just not working anymore. I replaced the bulbs, but the wax won't melt. Any suggestions? It is a little frustrating.

Dean,
I'm not sure where you get the idea that Scentsy bars are toxic. Sure, you might get sick if you eat them, but I happen to work in the manufacturing plant at Scentsy and respirators or other devices are not used, nor are they required. Some people have reactions to certain oils, which are MUCH more potent than the resulting scented bars. And Scentsy does not release the ingredients because it is a patented, proprietary blend. Try asking Coke or KFC for their ingredient lists. Just because they are secret doesn't mean they're toxic.
It sounds like you have an allergy to some of the ingredients, which is rare but not unexpected. But to say Scentsy candles are toxic is like trying to tell me that peanut butter will kill me if I eat it. It's just not true.

You are very misinformed if you think Scensy candle are not Toxic. Ask them for and ingredient list, they will never give it too you. Some of them are so toxic I have to leave the building if a chronic user is anywhere near me. I get headache very quickly from them as well as them affecting my breathing. Our homes are have the most toxic air of almost anywhere we go and that's with out adding the chemical fragrances from Scensy and other products. If you really care about your health and the indoor air, get rid of the chemicals and bring in fresh air and exhaust the stale air. HRV's do this best.
