Want to look younger? Do these five things!

Aging is inevitable, right? Yes, but there are ways to slow down the process in many areas. One is our skin. I have written about the effect of muscle loss on our bodies already;  knowing that maintaining muscle mass is a must in terms of staying strong, keeping a higher metabolism, and looking years younger. Self Tanner Madness! MyChelle’s Del Sol

I am a sucker for a tan. In my earlier post, I recounted my shady past as a sun worshipper. I’m serious…I used to have a problem. I could never be tan enough. I’m just glad I didn’t shrivel up like an old piece of leather before I saw the light -sorry for the pun.  So, here I am with my new self tanner of the moment. I still love Tanagement, but am put off by discovering that it has…er, um, cough cough – phthalates.  I have discovered that if the word “fragrance” is used in the list of ingredients, it is most likely a phthalate.  The only time it isn’t is when the label specifically states “fragrance derived from essential oils,” or something similar.  I tried Alba Oranic’s self tanner that smelled like a pina colada. Choosing Non Toxic Paint for your Home

The EPA (environmental protection agency) says that indoor air is three times more polluted than outdoor air, with paints and finishes being in the top 5 hazards to our health.  That being the case, I have worked tirelessly to improve the air quality inside my home. For starters, I switched to non toxic cleaning supplies, including floor cleaners; I chose a good vacuum with a hepa filter, and I dust regularly.  I don’t allow shoes to be worn inside my home, and I don’t use pesticides on my lawn that can be tracked into my house by my family,  friends, or my lovable pooch. Leading the list of my efforts was choosing zero VOC paints in my home.

I love a good coupon. I hate however, having to thumb through the newspaper to find them.  Back to my loves: The Internet—coupons at the moment.  My sister recently emailed me a link to publisher’s clearing house; a coupon clippers paradise!
