How to banish belly fat!
Oh, the battle of the bulge. When one thinks of that term, it’s not bulging calves that come to mind. Belly fat is, and always will be the main concern for people who need or want to lose weight. Why does the body store fat so readily in that area? My last post gave the reasons. Now what? Let’s examine the possibilities in achieving not only a smaller waistline, but an overall reduction in body fat.
Top 5 reasons for belly fat
As a strength and conditioning specialist, I hear this question over and over again, which is first preceded by the telling of how the person can’t understand why their belly is bulging….even after a low fat diet. I am compelled to list the top five reasons for belly fat because there are so many books, diets, and just plain false information out there. I want to emphasize the basics. Without further ado, and in no particular order:
Best Generic Diapers
No one told me that buying diapers would be the end all, be all of my life when I had kids. The amount of money spent on this commodity, however convenient and necessary they may be, can put a serious hurtin’ on one’s bank account. I am grateful for their invention, but do feel a twinge of guilt thinking of the millions of disposable diapers out there sitting in a land fill. But then my baby poops for the third time in two hours, and I’m adding to that ever growing pile. I have considered some of the new cloth diapers, but when I did the math, I didn’t see a considerable savings. Plus, I read (and if you’ve read any of my other posts, you know I read everything within my reach on subject matters I am concerned about/take interest in) that most of the new fancy cloth diapers leak, not properly sized, and well…just aren’t what their hyped up to be. In the end, I decided to (sniff sniff) pollute the earth, and go with disposables.
How to make handsoap and washing detergent
In an earlier post, I quoted the EPA on hand washing. Turns out that just regular soap, not antibacterial, kills 92% of germs. The ingredient Triclosan has been under investigation as a possible carcinogen, thyroid disruptor, and more importantly, for killing the beneficial bacteria on our bodies that aid in fighting off harmful pathogens.
Haan FS20 Steam Mop Review
Got a baby crawling around on the floor putting everything in their mouth? I’m right with ya. Yuck! Even my two year old still puts his hands on the floor and then proceeds to stick his hands in his mouth. I know I can’t keep my kids germ free…I don’t even want to, but when I think of possible Salmonella poisoning from the chicken juice dried on my kitchen floor….well, you get the picture.
Choosing Non Toxic Paint for your Home
The EPA (environmental protection agency) says that indoor air is three times more polluted than outdoor air, with paints and finishes being in the top 5 hazards to our health. That being the case, I have worked tirelessly to improve the air quality inside my home. For starters, I switched to non toxic cleaning supplies, including floor cleaners; I chose a good vacuum with a hepa filter, and I dust regularly. I don’t allow shoes to be worn inside my home, and I don’t use pesticides on my lawn that can be tracked into my house by my family, friends, or my lovable pooch. Leading the list of my efforts was choosing zero VOC paints in my home.
